Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Oncology)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Medical Surgical Oncology patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration
• Manage symptom care for patients with soft tissue malignancies receiving diagnostic services, chemotherapy, and symptom management
• Implement and maintain infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
• Perform and manage specialized clinical skills including port access, arterial line management, central and PICC line care, blood product administration, and IV starts
• Assist with chest tube insertion and removal, manage high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and cardiac dysrhythmias
• Operate unit-specific equipment including GE telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds; float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Valid compact or state RN license required at time of submission
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias required
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
