Contract | Days | Three 12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) with on-call requirements; one to two weekday call shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:15 AM) and one full weekend of call every five weeks; must be flexible to meet unit and patient care needs
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), with a primary focus on scrubbing open heart/cardiovascular procedures
- Circulate in other OR suites (General, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, etc.) as needed when floated; scrubbing is not required when floating
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation using Epic EMR
- Respond to on-call assignments during weekday evenings and designated weekend call rotations
- Adhere to a flexible Monday through Sunday work week schedule with no block scheduling
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience with recent, high-competency experience in Cardiovascular / Open Heart OR
- Required ability to scrub open heart/cardiovascular procedures
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Experience in a large, academic or teaching hospital setting required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (non-negotiable)
- BLS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CNOR certification preferred
- General OR experience across multiple surgical specialties (Ortho, Neuro, ENT, etc.)
