Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 25-bed Neuro/Ortho unit with a patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1
- Perform general med/surg competencies in a fast-paced inpatient environment
- Manage chest tubes and monitor associated patient outcomes
- Manage non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone drips
- Manage weight-based heparin drips
- Operate unit equipment including Baxter IV pumps, KCI wound vacs, and SCD pumps
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Compliance with unit dress code: royal blue scrubs
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
- Telemetry experience
- Background in Neuro or Ortho nursing
