Contract | Full-Time | Days, 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Every other weekend required | Holidays required unless approved time off requested
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Telemetry unit setting, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards
- Document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes accurately in the EMR system (Altera Sunrise)
- Float to other units as required based on staffing needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with all facility policies, including nicotine-free workplace requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Telemetry RN experience
- Must be willing and able to float to other units as needed
- New graduates are not eligible for this position
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience with Cerner or similar EMR platforms (Altera Sunrise, formerly Allscripts, is noted to be very similar to Cerner)
