Contract | Days (6:30 AM Start) | Monday–Friday with Call Required | 8-Hour Shifts | On-Call: 6-Tier Call System for Nights and Weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perfusion coverage for a wide range of cardiac cases regardless of complexity, including CABG, valve procedures, adult congenital, dissections, complex aortic, and minimally invasive surgeries
• Support lung, liver, and heart transplants, including ECMO management during transplant cases
• Provide 24/7 in-house ECMO coverage, responding to all cannulations, decannulations, circuit manipulations, CT transports, and physical therapy sessions
• Cover ECMO transports from outside hospitals, NRP cases, and HIPEC cases
• Support TAVR and structural heart procedures in cath lab and electrophysiology settings, as well as mechanical thrombectomies
• Operate point-of-care (POC) devices as required throughout assigned cases

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of perfusion experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility
• ABCP – American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (CAPS) Certification required
• Tennessee Clinical Perfusionist License required
• High school diploma or college degree required (as mandated for CAPS certification eligibility)
• Ability to operate POC devices
• Ability to cover any case type, day or night, regardless of complexity

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel/contract perfusion experience
• Experience with ECMO transports and NRP cases
• Familiarity with thoracic and liver transplant perfusion support
