Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36–48 hours per week | Weekends required; scheduled days will vary based on staffing needs | Every other holiday required | Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to patients across the full acuity spectrum, including pediatric populations
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
• TNCC required (may submit with TNCC pending, but must be obtained before start date)
• Minimum 2 years of emergency room nursing experience required; must include at least 1 year of Level 1 or 2 years of Level 2 emergency experience, including some pediatric experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Experience in a high-volume or trauma-level emergency department
• Comfort managing pediatric emergency cases
