Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Indianapolis, IN | Pediatric/Children's Hospital (NICU, PICU, Peds)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services primarily within Labor & Delivery, with rotation across NICU, PICU, and Pediatrics based on facility need
- Adapt to floating assignments across NICU, PICU, and Peds units; floating to an affiliate hospital location may also be required
- Deliver age-appropriate respiratory care in a high-acuity pediatric and neonatal environment
- Maintain compliance with all unit-specific certification and competency requirements, including ACLS, BLS, NBRC RRT, and NRP
- Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required per facility policy
Required Qualifications
- Active Indiana State Respiratory Therapy License required (temporary license accepted if permanent license application has been submitted)
- NBRC RRT certification required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- NRP required (may be obtained upon offer if not already held)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in PICU; Children's Hospital experience within the last 3 years required
- L&D experience required; NICU or PICU experience required
- Education must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA
- First-time travelers accepted
- Candidate must provide written confirmation of awareness and comfort with the every-other-weekend requirement prior to submission
- Local Allied travelers are accepted for this position
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS certification preferred
- Experience in a Level 1 adult facility may be considered in lieu of Children's Hospital experience
- Experience floating across multiple pediatric subspecialty units (NICU, PICU, Peds)
