Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required | Two major holidays required per contract (Thanksgiving Eve or Day, Christmas Eve or Day, or New Year's Eve or Day)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a general medical-surgical/telemetry unit with 36 beds, maintaining a patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Occasionally float to acute care or overflow/surge units housing medical-surgical patients based on divisional needs
- Complete orientation including facility-wide new employee orientation, department-specific training, and virtual EMR training during the first week
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Telemetry RN in a hospital setting
- Active Kansas RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Must be willing to work every other weekend
- Nicotine-free facility — candidates must comply with facility nicotine-free policy
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience working in a combined medical-surgical and telemetry environment
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
