Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Every Other Weekend Required | No Call | No Float

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to adult patients presenting with conditions including STEMI, stroke, and Level 2 trauma in a high-volume ED (~170 visits/day, 53 beds)
• Maintain patient ratios: non-critical 3:1, critical 2:1, and medical boarders 5:1
• Perform IV starts, triage assessments, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation
• Utilize facility systems including PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR for documentation and medication management
• Complete a 36-hour facility orientation prior to independent practice
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Required Qualifications

• Active NC or Compact RN license (pending license acceptable for submittal)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Required certifications: TNCC, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, MOAB, and BLS
• Proficiency in IV start, triage, telemetry, and conscious sedation
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates (within 50 miles) are welcome to apply; a lower rate will apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ENPC certification
• Prior trauma nursing experience
