Contract | 8-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit during 12-hour day shifts
- Document accurately and efficiently using EPIC electronic health records
- Perform neurological assessments utilizing NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) as required
- Float to other Medical/Surgical units as needed to support staffing demands
- Adhere to weekend rotation (every other weekend) and holiday requirements as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification required
- Minimum 2+ years of strong Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Proficiency with EPIC charting
- New graduates are not eligible for this position
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Neurology nursing experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
