Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Progressive Care Unit with patient ratios of 1:3–1:4 (AM) and 1:4–1:5 (PM)
• Manage vasoactive drips and perform advanced patient assessments using critical thinking skills
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including BiPAP, Heated High-Flow Nasal Cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, and Kangaroo Feeding Pumps
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Conduct bedside shift reports, hourly rounding, and participate in daily leadership rounds
• Float to the Telemetry Unit as needed per unit floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 1 year of PCU, stepdown, or IMC nursing experience
• Advanced assessment and critical thinking skills
• Experience with management of vasoactive drips
• Familiarity with central line or PICC line care and chest tube management

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
• Experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center or accredited Stroke/STEMI facility
• Background working with bariatric patient populations
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong interpersonal communication skills
