Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments, incorporating cultural, age-specific, and developmental considerations within the RN scope of practice
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care in coordination with patients, families, and the inter-professional team, adjusting interventions based on ongoing assessment and response to therapies
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition in a timely and appropriate manner
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and coordination with Case Management
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor accuracy and completeness of patient care provided by other team members
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI reduction

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the care team
• Proficiency with or ability to be trained on computer systems and clinical applications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous clinical nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
