Contract | 12 Weeks | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays As Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting with a 1:2 patient ratio, occasionally 1:3
• Specialize in the care of neurological and stroke patients requiring critical-level monitoring and intervention
• Perform and interpret EKG readings as part of routine ICU patient assessment; a passed EKG test is required at time of submission
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Float to other inpatient units and additional worksites (Skokie, Highland Park, and Glenbrook) as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN License
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• Minimum 2 years of strong ICU experience, with specific focus on Neuro and Stroke
• Proficiency in EPIC charting
• Must submit with a passed EKG test
• New graduates are not eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 5 or more years of ICU nursing experience
• Prior experience in a high-acuity neuro or stroke intensive care environment
• Familiarity with multi-site health system workflows and floating between inpatient units
