Sterile Processing Technician – Operating Room

Contract | Full-Time | Night Shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 8-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment in the operating room setting
• Ensure all sterile processing activities comply with established infection control standards and facility protocols
• Inspect, assemble, and package surgical instrument trays for sterilization
• Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of sterilization cycles and instrument inventory
• Collaborate with OR and surgical teams to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments and supplies

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Sterile Processing Operating Room (SPOT) experience required
• Active CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CBSPDT certification required
• Prior travel experience required — first-time travelers will not be considered
• Ability to work night shifts (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a fast-paced hospital or surgical environment
• Familiarity with a wide variety of surgical instrument sets and sterilization equipment
