Contract (13 or 26 weeks available) | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Every Other Weekend | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an inpatient Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a focus on stroke, TIA, and higher-acuity med-surg patients
• Manage a diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics with diagnoses such as stroke/TIA, seizure, syncope, pneumonia, chest pain, CHF, sepsis, acute kidney failure, respiratory failure, and encephalopathy
• Perform and support specialized procedures including peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation
• Administer and manage medications using the Omnicell medication system
• Maintain a strong commitment to patient experience standards throughout all interactions and care delivery
• Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census and demonstrated competencies

Required Qualifications

• Active Tennessee RN license required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the contracted facility to be eligible (night shift, Adult Medical Tele); candidates between 50–99.9 miles may be subject to a reduced bill rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for stroke and TIA patient populations
• Familiarity with peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation procedures
• Experience with Omnicell medication management systems
• Strong background in high-acuity med-surg environments with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
