Registered Nurse – ICU (Critical Care Float Pool)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Float across a variety of critical care units based on staffing needs and patient acuity, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, MICU, and NCCU
• Provide high-acuity nursing care in accordance with unit-specific protocols and patient needs
• Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management
• Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity per float pool policy
• Accurately document patient care and assessments using EPIC

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license – compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC required
• Demonstrated experience with IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience floating across multiple critical care unit types
• Familiarity with high-acuity neuro, surgical, and cardiovascular ICU environments
