Travel RN – Operating Room (13 Weeks)

Contract | Travel | Days (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | 13-Week Assignment | On-call required, including weekly and one weekend per month

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 perioperative nursing care in a multi-specialty Operating Room environment
• Assist with and support open, laparoscopic, and robotic general surgery cases including appendectomies, cholecystectomies, and bariatric procedures
• Participate in orthopedic procedures including robotic-assisted surgeries, total knee and hip replacements, and trauma cases
• Support gynecological procedures such as laparoscopic and robotic hysterectomies, tubal ligations, and emergent interventions
• Document patient care accurately using the facility EMR system (Meditech, transitioning to Expanse)
• Fulfill on-call obligations as scheduled, including weekly call and one weekend per month

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
• Demonstrated experience in orthopedics, general surgery, urology, and gynecology
• Current BLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN degree preferred
• Experience in ENT or non-cardiac vascular surgery
• Pediatric surgical experience
• Familiarity with Meditech or Expanse EMR systems
