Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care across a broad OR caseload including general surgery, neurosurgery, spine, orthopedics, robotic-assisted procedures, and vascular surgery at a Level III Trauma Center
• Utilize the nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — in accordance with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly
• Assess patient and family learning needs; provide education and identify appropriate resources

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
• PALS certification required (American Heart Association only)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience in a trauma center or high-acuity surgical environment
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical platforms and multi-specialty OR settings
