Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts Preferred (3x12 Also Considered) | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend | Holiday Rotation | Call Rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / General Surgery unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6 (occasionally 1:7)
- Participate in on-call rotation as required by the unit
- Float within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs as directed
- Adhere to holiday rotation schedule; candidates available to work holidays are prioritized
- Complete facility orientation modules prior to start date (non-billable, approximately 4 hours)
- Be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license required (candidates with a pending SC license may be considered with proof of application; clearance to work will not be granted until the SC license is active)
- BLS certification required
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; time-off requests after submission will not be accepted
- Expected weekly hours subject to facility cancellation of up to one shift per two-week period
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of RN experience, preferably in a Medical Surgical setting
- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records
- Availability to work holidays is strongly preferred
