Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed telemetry and surgical floor
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Accurately document all patient care activities using EPIC electronic health records
• Complete NIH and stroke education requirements as mandated for acute care RN staff
• Float to other units as needed based on facility census and staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Virginia license required to be in hand at time of submittal, or proof of a valid compact license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing
• Specialty experience within the last year required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• EPIC electronic health records experience required
• SSN required at time of submittal; one supervisory reference required at submittal
• Local candidates are welcome and will be considered at the same rate as travelers

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care setting
• Familiarity with NIH stroke scale assessment and stroke education protocols
• Experience floating across units within a hospital environment
