Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a locked incarcerated unit; candidates must be comfortable working with a forensic/prison population.
• Float as required to other Medical Surgical/Telemetry units, including forensics and general inpatient units, and potentially the ICU.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Participate in mandatory holiday rotation, expected to work 3 of 6 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
• Complete required HealthStream competency exams within designated compliance deadlines prior to or at start of contract.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Tennessee state RN license or compact multi-state license required at time of submission; must be active with no pending status.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; first-time travelers accepted.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and CPI (MAB accepted in lieu of CPI).
• Current Nursys report required at time of submission.
• Must be available to work holiday rotation as outlined; contracts beginning in September are expected to extend into the new year to ensure holiday coverage.
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a forensic, correctional, or locked unit setting.
• ICU or step-down experience beneficial given float requirements.
• Strong adaptability and comfort working across multiple unit types.
