Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Float Pool)

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Some weekends and holidays required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry float pool setting, floating within the facility as assigned
• Perform IV insertion and management as a core clinical skill
• Conduct and interpret telemetry monitoring for assigned patients
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC electronic health records
• Adapt to varying unit needs across the float pool, maintaining consistent quality of care
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotation as required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license — compact or Ohio state license must be in hand at time of submission
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry
• Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a float pool or multi-unit environment
• Familiarity with acute care hospital settings and high-acuity patient populations
• Strong adaptability and ability to transition between units efficiently
