Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Acute Leukemia & Hematology)

Contract | Days/Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day Shift: 7:00–19:30 | Night Shift: 19:00–7:30

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with newly diagnosed acute leukemia and hematological conditions
• Implement and maintain strict infection prevention protocols in a specialized hematology setting
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac dysrhythmias, escalating concerns through Rapid Response Teams as appropriate
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IVs, and perform phlebotomy including central line blood draws
• Administer blood products and manage IV therapy in accordance with unit protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of overall acute care nursing experience, with at least 1 year of PCU/Stepdown experience
• Valid RN license (compact or state license required at time of submission)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Experience with feeding tube care, IV therapy, blood product administration, and line management
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ONS Chemotherapy Certification (not required for this role)
• NIHSS certification
• Prior experience in a hematology or oncology nursing environment
