Contract | 12-Hour Evening Shifts | Every Other Weekend | Expected 72 Hours Biweekly (on-call hours not included)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Document all patient care activities accurately using EPIC
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Float to an additional affiliated hospital location as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or compact eligibility
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- EPIC EMR proficiency required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Medical/Surgical or Telemetry setting
- Must successfully pass an onsite competency assessment administered on day one of orientation (one attempt only); candidates will have up to 2 attempts on Relias testing during onboarding to prepare
- Must be in good standing and have been separated from the affiliated health system for a minimum of 6 months to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a telemetry or step-down unit environment
- Familiarity with float pool or multi-unit nursing assignments
- Strong critical thinking and adaptability in fast-paced acute care settings
