CT / X-Ray Technologist – Nights (Permanent)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures across at least two modalities, following established department protocols or collaborating with the Radiologist to protocol exams as needed.
  • Practice radiation safety and adhere to ALARA standards, including screening female patients for pregnancy prior to imaging.
  • Notify the Radiologist of all STAT or emergent cases and provide ordering physician contact information in a timely manner.
  • Verify exam orders, confirm patient identity using two forms of identification, and provide patient education prior to procedures.
  • Perform quality control in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and troubleshoot equipment issues, escalating to a service engineer when necessary.
  • Assist with call coverage, holidays, and weekends as required; flexibility to adjust schedule for emergencies, illnesses, and vacations is expected.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be registered in at least two imaging modalities; eligible registries include: ARRT (R, CT, MR, M, N, S), ARDMS (RDMS, RVT, RDCS, RMSKS), or NMTCB — or must be eligible to obtain two registries within one year of hire date.
  • Current BLS certification required, or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Minimum of two years of prior experience as a practicing Technologist in one or more of the listed modalities.
  • Experience with or willingness to cross-train into additional modalities such as CT, MRI, DEXA, or Mammography.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems including PACS and RIS/HIS.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and strong written and verbal communication skills.
