Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced respiratory care procedures including ventilator care, suctioning, artificial airway care, resuscitation, bedside spirometry, ABG specimen collection and interpretation, and chest X-ray interpretation
• Administer bronchial hygiene and therapeutic procedures including IPPB, Incentive Spirometry, EZ-PAP, HHN, CPT, bland aerosol administration, humidification therapy, O2 therapy, CPR, and basic/advanced airway maintenance
• Provide smoking cessation education and asthma education to patients
• Perform EKGs, EEGs, PFTs, Mobile Cardiac Telemetry, Holter and Event Monitor hookups
• Maintain organized medical records utilizing clinical forms and EMR documentation systems

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved college or university Respiratory Therapy program
• Credentialed by the NBRC as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Active Colorado Respiratory Therapy license in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP required within 6 months of hire
• Candidate must be willing to relocate to a rural area

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EMR documentation systems
• Ability to perform both basic and advanced respiratory care therapeutic procedures with minimal supervision
• Experience in a hospital or acute care setting
