Registered Nurse – ICU (Night Shift, 13-Week Contract)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift, 7PM–7AM | Every other weekend required | No on-call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 10-bed ICU setting with expected patient ratios of 1:4–5
• Perform and respond to critical care procedures including STEMI protocol, Stroke protocol, Conscious Sedation, Chest Tubes, Codes, and Intubation
• Operate and monitor patients using equipment such as Philips monitors, Lifepak 20e defibrillator, Lucas device, GE EKG machine, and Verathon bladder scanner
• Document and manage patient records using Meditech Expanse EMR
• Collaborate effectively with a small, close-knit team on night shift, demonstrating critical thinking and a sense of urgency when needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Texas (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 3 years of recent ICU experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a charge nurse role, demonstrating ability to multi-task and think independently
• Friendly, compassionate, and flexible personality with strong teamwork and communication skills
