Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 or 26 weeks) | Days, 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00) | Onsite | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Every other weekend, every other holiday; must work 2 of 3 winter holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a pediatric hospital setting, including NICU and PICU populations
• Perform respiratory and neuro diagnostic procedures within scope of practice
• Participate in a self-scheduling model; schedule accommodations are made on a best-effort basis and a specific schedule cannot be guaranteed
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed per facility policy
• Complete up to 16 non-billable hours of orientation modules, including specialty-specific training recorded in Workday
• Adhere to a maximum of 40 hours of requested time off per 13-week contract period; all RTO must be disclosed at time of submission

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Active Virginia state license required; pending license accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained before the Wednesday prior to start date — candidate must hold an active license in at least one other state to be eligible for a Virginia temporary license
• Level 4 NICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
• Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification preferred
