Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 or 26 weeks) | Days, 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00) | Onsite | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week | Every other weekend and every other holiday; must work 2 of 3 winter holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a pediatric hospital setting, including NICU and PICU populations
• Deliver age-appropriate respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients requiring advanced monitoring and intervention
• Participate in a self-scheduling model while remaining flexible to unit needs and floating within scope of practice as required
• Maintain compliance with all facility policies, including required holiday coverage and time-off limitations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient outcomes across specialized pediatric units

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Active Virginia Respiratory Therapy license required; pending license accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained before the start date — candidate must hold a valid license in another state to be eligible for a temporary Virginia license
• Minimum Level 4 NICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification preferred
• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
