Registered Nurse – LTAC (Travel Contract)

Contract | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and clinical judgment in planning and delivering safe, high-quality patient care
• Manage and monitor patients requiring ventilator and tracheostomy care within an LTAC/Telemetry setting
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff, and provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education and professional development

Required Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN license or multi-state compact RN license (must be current and valid)
• ACLS certification required – must be through the American Heart Association
• BLS certification required – must be through the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Telemetry/LTAC experience in a hospital setting
• Demonstrated vent/trach experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an LTAC or Telemetry setting
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in acute care environments
• Experience working in a long-term acute care hospital environment
