Contract | Days | 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Expected 36–48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit within a team nursing model, collaborating with LPNs and medication nurses to manage a shared caseload
• Operate within a team nursing structure with an effective ratio of approximately 1:6–7 patients per RN
• Participate in on-call and weekend coverage as needed
• Adhere to unit float policies, which may include floating to like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius on an as-needed basis
• Comply with holiday coverage requirements, which may include working designated holidays if they fall within the assignment period
• Apply Level I Trauma experience in a fast-paced, large acute care hospital environment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee or a compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience (strictly enforced); first-time travelers are generally not accepted unless they hold 5+ years of specialty experience
• At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3+ years of Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• BSN preferred for select unit assignments; ADN accepted for this position
