Special Procedures Radiology Technologist – IR / Special Procedures

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | Shifts scheduled per unit needs; a few later shifts per week may occur | On-call expected approximately 8 times per month, rotating schedule | Holiday call may be required

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of special procedures in a high-acuity hybrid OR and endovascular environment, including FEVAR/PMEG, EVAR, TEVAR, AAA/TAA, angiograms, declots, lysis, stenting, embolization, and TAVRs
  • Operate and troubleshoot advanced vascular imaging equipment, including Siemens Zeego and Pheno systems, portable C-arm functions (digital subtraction, road mapping, measurements), and PACS
  • Utilize familiarity with vascular supplies such as balloons, diagnostic catheters, wires, and sheaths to support procedural teams
  • Work with devices including Penumbra, AngioJet, Shockwave, IVUS, Jet Stream, and Medrad systems
  • Document accurately and efficiently using EPIC electronic health records
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency assignments as required, including potential emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November)

Required Qualifications

  • ARRT certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IR/Special Procedures
  • Hybrid OR experience required
  • More than 1 year of hands-on experience with Siemens Zeego and Pheno systems required
  • Radiation badge required; may be provided by agency
  • Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Extensive endovascular background with broad procedural exposure across multiple vascular specialties
  • Strong ability to work independently and under pressure in a high-acuity setting
  • Familiarity with PACS and advanced Siemens vascular imaging features
  • Prior experience in a Level I Trauma Center or teaching/Magnet-designated facility
