Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex polysomnographic (PSG) recordings, demonstrating a thorough understanding of monitoring equipment and recording parameters
- Meet with patients prior to studies to provide education on sleep apnea, CPAP titration, and review all required paperwork
- Properly connect patients with appropriate electrodes and monitor them throughout the sleep study, responding in accordance with department policies and procedures
- Administer CPAP/BiPAP therapy following established department protocols
- Disconnect patients from electrodes upon study completion, assist as needed, and complete all appropriate documentation
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a sleep medicine setting
- BLS certification required
- One of the following certifications required: RPSGT, RST, or SDS
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong, independent judgment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification
