Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans upon physician referral
- Provide therapeutic interventions including exercise, massage, heat, cold, light, water, electricity, and sound to relieve pain and restore or maintain physical function
- Monitor and document patient progress toward established functional goals
- Collaborate with family members and interdisciplinary health team regarding patient abilities and treatment goals
- Apply knowledge of current orthopedic, neurological, and rehabilitation procedures in patient care
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university
- Active, valid Oregon Occupational Therapist license required
- Current CPR certification required
- Current valid Oregon driver's license required
- Thorough knowledge of therapy procedures, orthopedic and neurological follow-up procedures, and rehabilitation practices
- Strong communication skills and effective team interaction, support, and respect
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior clinical experience in occupational therapy, though new graduates who meet all licensure requirements are encouraged to apply
- Basic computer proficiency including locating and opening documents, completing forms, and managing email communication
