Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry unit, including management of ED boarders awaiting inpatient placement
• Perform pre-cardiac catheterization care and manage ports as part of routine patient assignments
• Float as needed between Telemetry, Observation, Medical-Surgical, and MS Telemetry units across multiple campuses
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC (experience required)
• Adhere to expected weekend coverage: 4 weekend shifts (2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays) per 6-week period, along with 3 Mondays and 3 Fridays
• Maintain compliance with all facility dress code, infection control, and policy requirements, including no agency or brand logos on scrubs (Navy Blue required)

Required Qualifications

• Active Kentucky RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1.5 years of Telemetry experience required; experience with pre-cardiac cath care and port management required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
• COVID vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered); Flu vaccination required
• No RTO available from 12/15/2026 through 1/5/2027; holiday coverage is expected
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are accepted at a local rate
• Travel partners are not permitted on this assignment
• Must have been away from full-time, part-time, or per diem employment at this facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must not be in process for, or have applied to, a permanent role with this health system within the past 6 months

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in or floating to Observation and Medical-Surgical units
• Familiarity with multi-campus health system environments
• Experience managing ED boarder patients requiring inpatient-level care
