Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Travel)

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with a 101-bed unit and typical patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
- Work collaboratively with techs, cardiac monitoring unit staff, triage personnel, and unit clerks across all sections of the ED
- Operate unit equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors; document accurately using Cerner
- Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior practices, and keeping patient boards updated throughout each visit
- Float to all sections within the ED as needed; no floating outside of the Emergency Department
- Demonstrate ability to coach and provide real-time feedback while maintaining a strong teamwork mentality
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
- ACLS required prior to start date
- BLS required prior to start date
- PALS required prior to start date
- TNCC required prior to start date
- CPI required prior to start date
- NIHSS required prior to start date
- ENPC required within 90 days of hire
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 years of experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
- Previous experience within HCA-affiliated facilities
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across all areas of a large, fast-paced Emergency Department
