Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/IMC/PCU setting, with potential to float to other units caring for the same patient population
• Monitor and interpret ECG cardiac rhythms as part of routine patient assessment
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Participate in holiday coverage rotation, working at least every other holiday as required
• Complete orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate with an acceptable passing score
• Maintain compliance with annual hands-on competency requirements and facility-assigned modules

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state RN license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active ACLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active NIHSS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 12 months of permanent employment experience in the specialty applying for
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required; co-worker references will not be accepted
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PCU/Progressive Care Unit experience strongly preferred
• Experience within a single location for the required specialty experience is preferred, though not required
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation and medication safety assessment tools
