Travel Rapid Response RN – Emergency Room (Night Shift)

Contract | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 6-Week Assignment | Expected 48 hours/week | Overtime may be available after 48 hours

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 on behavioral holds
• Utilize Cerner for all clinical documentation throughout each patient visit
• Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors; collaborate with techs, cardiac monitoring unit staff, and unit clerks
• Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior practices, and keeping patient boards updated throughout each visit
• Work every other weekend as part of scheduling requirements; must be flexible to meet departmental scheduling needs
• Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed (no floating outside of the ED)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
• ACLS required before start date
• BLS required before start date
• PALS required before start date
• TNCC required before start date
• CPI required before start date
• NIHSS required before start date
• ENPC required within 90 days of hire
• Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center
• Background in a high-volume Emergency Department (100,000+ annual visits)
• Previous experience with HCA-affiliated facilities
