Travel RN – CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM) with On-Call Requirements | Expected schedule includes every other weekend and holidays in rotation with permanent staff

Key Responsibilities

• Function as a circulating RN in a cardiovascular and general OR setting, facilitating cases across cardiac, thoracic, vascular, ortho, neuro, plastics, urology, and GYN surgical areas
• Perform advanced circulating duties including patient positioning, prepping, and case facilitation for complex procedures such as Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), AAA repair, Fem-Pop Bypass, and Mitral or Aortic Valve Replacement
• Support robotic-assisted surgical cases utilizing the XI Robot and Mako joint robot platforms
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Participate in on-call coverage, including 3 call shifts (12-hour) per 4-week period
• Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET communication framework

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a circulating RN in a cardiovascular or general OR setting
• Thoracic and vascular experience required, including heart and valve replacements
• Strong proficiency in cardiac procedures including CV/PV, AAA, CABG, Fem-Pop Bypass, and Mitral or Aortic Valve Replacement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with robotic-assisted surgery, including XI Robot and/or Mako joint robot platforms
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Experience across multiple OR service lines including ortho, neuro, plastics, urology, and GYN
• Comfort working in a high-acuity, Level II Trauma Center environment
