Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a target nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Perform cardiac monitoring including interpretation of dysrhythmias and participate in Rapid Response and Code team activations
• Administer blood products and manage central lines, peripheral lines, and IV therapy; perform phlebotomy as needed
• Provide respiratory support including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Maintain strict isolation precautions and proper PPE usage in accordance with facility protocols
• Float to all areas holding Med-Surg patients as needed per unit requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active NC RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending licensure acceptable at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience required
• BCLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line management
• Strong Med-Surg background required; must be willing to float to all areas holding Med-Surg patients
• Local candidates are welcome; candidates within 50 miles of the facility are eligible at a reduced rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Dedicated Telemetry unit experience preferred
• Experience with management of dysrhythmias
• OCN certification and/or Chemotherapy Administration experience a plus
