Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments, incorporating cultural, age, and developmental considerations, and develop individualized care plans in coordination with patients, families, and the inter-professional team
• Implement patient care therapies and procedures within RN scope of practice, recognizing and communicating changes in patient condition in a timely manner
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including execution of discharge orders, discharge teaching, and coordination with Case Management
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor the accuracy and completeness of care provided by other team members
• Provide patient and family-centered education addressing identified learning needs based on level of comprehension
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, CAUTI reduction, and documentation auditing

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the care team
• Proficiency with or ability to be trained on computer systems and clinical applications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous nursing experience in a clinical setting
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
