Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures Technologist

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday with staggered start times between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM; day off will vary each week. On-call rotation included (primary and backup call shared with team members to support round-the-clock coverage).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of IR procedures including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, kyphoplasty, biopsies, drainages, upper and lower extremity studies, abdominal and pelvic studies, genitourinary studies, vascular studies, venous access, and neurological studies
- Support neuro interventional cases including stroke intervention
- Operate Siemens and Philips x-ray equipment (required)
- Manage a daily case load of approximately 13–17 cases serving a patient population that is primarily adults and geriatrics, with some adolescents
- Participate in rotating primary and backup on-call coverage, including evenings, nights, and weekends
- Complete hospital orientation during week one, with availability required for classes each day
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of IR/Special Procedures experience
- Prior travel assignment experience required; first-time travelers are not eligible
- ARRT certification required
- BLS certification required
- Proficiency with PACS and contrast administration required
- Neuro experience and inpatient hospital experience required
- Experience with Siemens and Philips x-ray equipment required
- Active NC license or Compact license (pending status acceptable for submission)
- Local candidates are welcome; candidates within 50 miles of the facility are eligible at a reduced rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
- Experience with EPIC and McKesson preferred
- Acuson equipment experience preferred
- Background in outpatient, OR, ER, Level I trauma, teaching hospital, community hospital settings, or ablation procedures preferred
