Contract | Full-Time | Days | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Expected 72 hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)
Key Responsibilities
- Assume the responsibilities of educator, consultant, researcher, facilitator, role model, mentor, and leader within the acute care setting and nursing division
- Assess staff educational needs and plan, coordinate, conduct, and evaluate orientation programs and other educational offerings to promote adult learning and professional development
- Support improved patient outcomes through targeted educational programming aligned with the Nursing Division's philosophy, goals, and objectives
- Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff across the organization
- BLS and ACLS Instructor certification required prior to start
- Candidates must pass a Dysrhythmia (20 questions) and Medication (20 questions) test administered via proctored virtual session prior to offer acceptance — 85% passing score required; one attempt only
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- BSN required
- BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- BLS and ACLS Instructor certification required prior to start
- Minimum 3–5 years of nursing experience
- Strong problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication; demonstrated leadership experience
- Candidates must have been separated from the hiring health system for 6 or more months to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- MSN in Education or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) designation
- Critical care experience, with a minimum of PACU experience and general nursing education experience
- Experience across PACU, Endoscopy, Central Processing, and/or Operating Room settings
- Prior experience in staff education, orientation facilitation, or clinical instruction
