Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts) | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week | Every other weekend required | Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays | Time off around Christmas cannot be approved

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 12-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Manage and monitor patients with diagnoses including respiratory illnesses, renal illnesses, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell, and cystic fibrosis
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management
• Float within scope of practice as needed per facility float policy
• Adhere to all facility compliance policies, including scheduling and time-off guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• Maximum of 40 hours of requested time off per 13-week contract; all RTO must be disclosed at submission
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (applicable to select units per facility policy)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and management of complex, multi-diagnosis patient populations
