Contract | Days | 8-hour or 12-hour shifts available | Every other weekend required | Every other holiday required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to an elderly population presenting with multiple diagnoses in a skilled nursing setting
- Manage a patient assignment of up to 21 patients on day shift, with potential coverage of up to 42 patients as census requires
- Document patient care and clinical information accurately using PCC (PointClickCare) EMR
- Participate in facility orientation, including up to 3 days of supervised floor orientation with existing staff
- Adhere to facility scheduling requirements, including every other weekend and every other holiday coverage
Required Qualifications
- Active LPN or LVN license valid in the state of South Dakota
- Must live at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard contract rates
- Ability to work day shift in an onsite, long-term care environment
- Willingness to meet weekend and holiday rotation requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting
- Familiarity with PCC (PointClickCare) electronic medical records system
- Experience caring for elderly patients with complex, multi-diagnosis presentations
