Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting with a 1:20 patient ratio
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with care plans and facility protocols
- Document patient assessments and care delivery using ECS charting system
- Float within scope of practice to support facility staffing needs as required
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure quality resident outcomes
- Adhere to all long-term care regulatory and facility compliance requirements, including obtaining Alaska Food Worker Certification during onsite orientation
Required Qualifications
- Valid, active Alaska LVN/LPN license (no pending licenses accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of LVN/LPN experience, with prior LTC experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Current BLS certification required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted)
- Must be at least 25 years of age to qualify for facility-provided vehicle
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with ECS or similar long-term care charting platforms
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to variable shift schedules and fluctuating staffing needs
- Willingness and availability to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
