Certified Surgical Technologist – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 7:00 AM–5:30 PM (with rotating day off) | 40 hours per week | 8-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in a variety of surgical procedures within the operating room setting
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and pass instruments and supplies as directed
• Adhere to all facility protocols, safety standards, and infection control procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation and be available to respond within 30 minutes of the facility when on call

Required Qualifications

• Active certification through the NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical technologist experience
• At least one prior travel contract completed
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system
• Ability to respond to on-call assignments within 30 minutes of the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in plastics, general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, or neurosurgery
• Familiarity with travel assignment workflows and rapid credentialing processes
