Registered Nurse – ICU (Surgical ICU)

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Monday through Sunday availability required; no block schedules

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Surgical ICU setting, with a typical patient population including post cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma (Level 1), general surgery, neurosurgery, and overflow MICU patients
• Float to the Medical ICU (MICU) as needed based on unit and patient care needs
• Operate and monitor hemodynamic devices as part of routine patient care
• Maintain a flexible schedule including a minimum of every other weekend and potential for all weekend shifts
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC electronic medical records system

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience in a large (500+ bed) teaching facility required
• EPIC experience within the past 2 years required and non-negotiable

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification preferred
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring devices in a surgical or medical ICU environment
