Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts) | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and perform comprehensive patient assessments within an outpatient hematology clinic setting serving both malignant and non-malignant adult patient populations
• Perform phlebotomy, central line access and care, EKG, and assist with bone marrow biopsies
• Administer vaccinations and conduct phone triage to appropriately facilitate patient scheduling for infusions
• Provide patient education, conduct patient phone calls, and support case management activities
• Collaborate with both malignant and non-malignant hematology teams to coordinate patient care
• Document and chart using the EPIC electronic health records system

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required; oncology clinic or acute oncology/hematology experience strongly preferred
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
• Must provide own stethoscope
• Must wear navy blue scrubs (not provided)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing certifications such as ONS, OCN, or BMTCN
• Prior outpatient hematology clinic experience (note: chemotherapy and infusion administration are not performed in this setting)
• Familiarity with EPIC Dimensions ambulatory clinic workflows
