Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to an elder population in a long-term care and geriatric psychiatric setting
• Manage skilled nursing charting, COVID-related documentation, and other clinical recordkeeping primarily during the day shift
• Oversee and coordinate care during overnight hours as the sole nurse on duty, maintaining a patient ratio of approximately 1:45
• Support and monitor patients with behavioral health diagnoses including dementia, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and paranoia
• Collaborate with medication aides during designated shift hours to ensure safe and effective patient care
• Utilize the facility's electronic medical records system (PCC) for all documentation and charting

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility (LTC/SNF) setting
• Ability to function as the sole nurse on duty during assigned shift hours
• Willingness to work every other weekend and holidays that fall within the contracted block schedule
• Ability to complete facility-specific orientation including training, tour, competencies, and 1–2 shadow shifts

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Geriatric psychiatric (geri psych) nursing experience strongly preferred
• Prior experience in an LTC psychiatric or behavioral health program
• Familiarity with PCC (PointClickCare) electronic medical records system
